Review a link page before sharing it
LinkInBio Link Checker gives a project a focused second look before you send it to someone. Import a JSON file from LinkInBio Creator, paste its project data, load a saved draft or carry the current project directly from the creator. The checker examines approved profile fields locally and reports syntax or content findings. It does not request destinations, log clicks or pretend to be a malware scanner. This distinction matters: finding no formatting issues is useful, but it does not prove that every website works or belongs to the person its label suggests.
Find missing labels and invalid destinations
Every button needs a clear label and a complete HTTP or HTTPS address. A blank label gives a visitor little reason to click, while an invalid address cannot be used reliably in the exported page. The report identifies these problems by link number so you can find the corresponding row in the creator. It also notes unusually long labels that deserve a narrow-screen check. These are actionable review signals, not arbitrary quality scores. No invented percentage or pass badge replaces the actual findings. Keep descriptions concise and ensure the button wording matches the destination’s purpose.
Notice exact duplicates without erasing intent
Two buttons may accidentally point to the same parsed destination. The checker flags exact duplicates and names the earlier entry. It does not automatically delete either row, because repetition can be intentional. Campaign variations with different query values are different addresses and are not collapsed into a single destination. The UTM builder helps create consistent labels when variations are purposeful. If tracking makes comparison confusing, inspect the query using the URL inspector before deciding what to change. Removing fields simply to make two strings match can destroy useful attribution or invalidate a signed link.
Check the sharing boundary as well as the text
Local URLs beginning with localhost or 127.0.0.1 are useful during development but cannot serve another person from this preview. The checker warns about those destinations in a profile. A phone receiving such a link points to itself rather than to this Mac. Your profile snapshot URL also requires Shortform’s recipient route to be publicly hosted before others can open it. A standalone HTML export offers a file-based alternative, but its linked destinations still need to be accessible to the recipient. Review this boundary before printing a QR code or sending a page to a client.
Keep the review understandable and portable
The output lists each finding plainly with a severity and link reference. Download the text report when you want a reminder while editing or a document to share with a collaborator. The report does not include a network status, security certification or claim that a missing website was contacted. Project parsing enforces limits on field lengths, recognized design values and link count. Pasted markup is treated as text rather than executed. A malformed import returns an error, leaving you to fix the source rather than silently fabricating a valid profile. Keep private tokens out of any report you distribute.
Return to the creator for deliberate changes
The checker is a review companion, not a second editor that secretly changes the project. Return to LinkInBio Creator to adjust a label, reorder links or choose a different design from LinkInBio Templates. For selected tracking removal, use the URL cleaner and understand what the change removes. Save or export the revised project, then run the review again. Also read the actual recipient page on a narrow screen. Useful validation combines clear local checks with your judgment about destinations, audience and context; no single syntax tool can make all of those decisions for you. Review imported projects after every edit, including changes made by collaborators. A previously clean report describes the earlier snapshot only; it does not certify later destinations or revised button labels.
